 WITTER IS A CONUNDRUM TO WHCH THERE ARE NO ANSWERS BUT PLENTY OF CONFUSION Tonight in Nottingham Arena we saw the hypnotist hypnotised and the illusionist disillusioned when WBC light-welter champion Junior Witter (UK) set out to confuse mandatory challenger Timothy Bradley Jr. (USA) but succeeded in only confusing himself. It would be easy to say the 24-year-old ‘Desert Storm’ Bradley beat his ten year’s senior Junior Witter by a split decision because that is what two of the ringside judges decreed. That’s official and reasonable but, in my view, Junior Witter beat himself.

BOXING SPECIAL: On 15 April 2008 AIBA published the list of boxing Referees/Judges selected to officiate at the 2008 Olympic Boxing Tournament in Beijing. According to the Referee/Judges Commission of AIBA the officials on that list were selected on the strength of their performances at the 2007 World Championships where they had displayed the abilities and skills required for such an important tournament. TWO WEEKS ago, the sad news came that the Philly boxing landmark known as Joe Frazier's Gym was closing. for a new home, launching the rumor that Smokin' Joe's place was about to close.In the official release from the gym, there seemed to be some ray of hope about the gym reopening after renovations or once new investors were found.
