KHAN: COME AND KO ME, GOMEZ!
Amir Khan has welcomed Michael Gomez's claims that he will 'flatten' him when the pair meet at the N.I.A in Birmingham on June 21. In a recent interview, Michael said that he would knock-out the 21-year-old British boxing sensation.  He also added that he would pressure Khan from the start - and after seeing out the first four rounds, would step on the gas and inflict an early defeat.

 MITSUBISHI BACKS BOXING ON ITV

WITTER IS A CONUNDRUM TO WHCH THERE ARE NO ANSWERS BUT PLENTY OF CONFUSION

Tonight in Nottingham Arena we saw the hypnotist hypnotised and the illusionist disillusioned when WBC light-welter champion Junior Witter (UK) set out to confuse mandatory challenger Timothy Bradley Jr. (USA) but succeeded in only confusing himself.

It would be easy to say the 24-year-old ‘Desert Storm’ Bradley beat his ten year’s senior Junior Witter by a split decision because that is what two of the ringside judges decreed. That’s official and reasonable but, in my view, Junior Witter beat himself.

TONIGHT ITV PRESENT WITTER vs. BRADLEY WBC WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP + FROCH vs RYBACKI

ITV SUPPORTS BOXING WITH CASH INVESTMENT

Tonight in Nottingham Arena Junior Witter has a date with destiny that could define his future career as a boxer. By choice the real Junior Witter could defend his WBC light-welter title or the clowning character that resembles an Indian snake charmer could be in the opposite corner to Timothy Bradley Jr., a challenger that will test Junior to the full. This is a contest that will require the best of Junior to win.

WBC SCORES LANDMARK VICTORY FOR BOXERS

LANDMARK PROGRESSIVE STEP FORWARD BY WBC FOR PROFESSIONAL BOXERS

Yet again, the WBC leads the way for professional boxing. The indefatigable President of the WBC Dr. Jose Sulaiman has achieved a landmark financial lifesaver for boxers after they have retired. There is no question that while others spend time criticising WBC and issuing platitudes, the WBC allows boxing to hold its head high.

SNAPPING THE PIECES OF THE DE LA HOYA PUZZLE INTO PLACE

Nearly everything about De La Hoya is confusing and contradictory. He's somehow both charismatic and utterly devoid of charisma at the same time. He's a boxer and a businessman, a tough guy and a pretty boy. And when he speaks, we're often left scratching our heads to figure out what he really means.

WBC & NABF STRIDE FORWARD TO GAIN PRESTIGE FOR BOXING

BOXING ACTION SALUTES THE WBC – AGAIN!

The ongoing support of BoxingAction.com gives to the World Boxing Council has not been without  opposition by those who have a mission to destroy the recognised sanctioning organisations while having no worthwhile replacement. Foolish, in the extreme, they believe boxing would survive without heroes who are correctly called champion. The latest innovation by WBC to arrange free medical care for people in North America is astonishingly breathtaking. WBC and NABF we salute you.

TRAINERS OF DE LA HOYA AND FORBES DISCUSS TRAINIING PREPARATIONS

David Avila, Riverside Press:  Floyd why is it that Oscar had not so much stamina when he fought against Little Floyd in his last fight.

Floyd Mayweather, Sr.:  Now I'm going to tell you this right here, I wasn't the trainer. Freddie Roach was the trainer. And it's not only that because sometimes, they have this thing called strength training, strength coaching. I've never heard anything like that in my life. The strength trainer thing – I think it's bad for boxing to be honest. I think that because there's so many gimmicks and gadgets they have ...

THE FULL STORY - WHY THE WELSH VALLEYS ARE ECHOING TO THE VICTORY SOUND OF MUSIC

THE RED DRAGON IS THE VICTOR OVER THE DISTINGUISHED EX-CHAMP BERNARD HOPKINS

The right hand of The Excutioner landed in the first minute of the first round and the Pride of Wales was on the canvas floor.  The vocal Welsh contingent  numbered in the thousands was immediately hushed  and the opening strains of the musical dirge 'The Last Post' were imagined. However, it was not the end and Welsh valleys and the Italian mountain region are resounding this morning to the echo of the sweet sound of music that accompanies victory. However, it was a split decision that decided that the spirit of the Welsh/Italian Calzaghe had overcome the steaming ashphalt jungle survival life force of the Afro/American Hopkins.
